Acceptable Use Policy

Introduction
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of Policy Change Radar. By using the Service, you agree to comply with this policy and our Terms of Service.
We reserve the right to investigate and take appropriate action against anyone who violates this policy, including suspending or terminating accounts without notice.
Prohibited Activities
You may not use Policy Change Radar to:
Illegal or Harmful Activities
- Violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law or regulation
- Engage in or promote illegal activities
- Harass, threaten, stalk, or harm others
- Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers/networks connected to the Service
Unauthorized Access
- Access or monitor documents you do not have permission to access
- Circumvent, disable, or interfere with security features of the Service
- Use another user's account without permission
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any systems or networks
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service
Abuse and Misuse
- Use automated tools (bots, scrapers, crawlers) without authorization
- Overload or attempt to overload the Service infrastructure
- Create multiple accounts to abuse free trial or free tier limits
- Share account credentials with unauthorized users
- Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization
Reverse Engineering
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
- Derive or attempt to derive the source code or algorithms
- Remove, obscure, or alter any proprietary notices
- Create derivative works based on the Service
Content Restrictions
You may not submit, upload, or monitor content that:
Violates Rights
- Infringes on intellectual property rights (copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret)
- Violates privacy, publicity, or other personal rights
- Contains confidential information you do not have rights to access
Harmful or Offensive Content
- Contains malware, viruses, or other harmful code
- Is defamatory, libelous, or fraudulent
- Promotes violence, discrimination, or hatred
- Contains child sexual abuse material (CSAM)
- Exploits or harms minors in any way
Spam and Deceptive Practices
- Sends unsolicited communications (spam)
- Engages in phishing or other deceptive practices
- Creates fake or misleading information
Security and System Integrity
Responsible Use
You must:
- Keep your account credentials secure
- Use strong, unique passwords
- Enable two-factor authentication when available
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
- Monitor your account for suspicious activity
Prohibited Security Actions
You may not:
- Launch denial-of-service (DoS) or distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks
- Conduct security testing without prior written authorization
- Attempt to intercept or monitor data not intended for you
- Introduce malware, viruses, or malicious code
- Exploit security vulnerabilities for unauthorized purposes
Responsible Disclosure
If you discover a security vulnerability, report it responsibly through our vulnerability disclosure program. Do not exploit or publicly disclose vulnerabilities before we've had time to address them.
Legal Compliance
Data Protection Laws
You must:
- Comply with applicable data protection and privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)
- Have a lawful basis for monitoring documents containing personal data
- Obtain necessary consents from individuals whose data you process
- Respect data subject rights and respond to requests appropriately
Export Controls
You will not use the Service in violation of any export or trade sanctions laws, including those administered by the U.S. Department of Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC).
Industry Regulations
If you operate in a regulated industry (healthcare, finance, etc.), you are responsible for ensuring your use of the Service complies with applicable regulations (HIPAA, GLBA, etc.).
Monitoring and Content Guidelines
Authorized Access Only
You may only monitor documents that:
- You have legal rights to access
- Are publicly available
- You have been authorized to monitor by the document owner
Prohibited Monitoring
Do not monitor:
- Documents behind authentication you don't have permission to access
- Content obtained through unauthorized means
- Proprietary or confidential information without authorization
Rate Limits and Quotas
Respect plan-specific limits on:
- Number of documents monitored
- Check frequency
- Manual check quotas
- API rate limits
Attempting to circumvent these limits violates this policy.
Enforcement
Investigation
We reserve the right to investigate suspected violations of this AUP. This may include:
- Reviewing account usage and activity
- Examining content submitted to the Service
- Cooperating with law enforcement and regulatory authorities
Actions We May Take
If you violate this AUP, we may:
- Issue a warning
- Temporarily suspend your account
- Permanently terminate your account
- Remove or disable access to violating content
- Limit or restrict Service features
- Pursue legal remedies
- Report illegal activity to law enforcement
No Liability for Removal
We are not liable for any loss resulting from enforcement actions taken in good faith to address violations of this policy.
Repeat Violations
Repeated violations may result in permanent account termination and ban from future use.

How to Report
If you become aware of conduct that violates this AUP, report it to:

What to Include
When reporting a violation, please provide:
- Description of the violation
- Date and time of the incident
- Any relevant URLs, usernames, or account information
- Supporting evidence (screenshots, logs, etc.)
- Your contact information for follow-up
Confidentiality
We will handle reports confidentially and investigate promptly. We may not be able to provide detailed information about actions taken due to privacy considerations.
Updates to This Policy
We may update this AUP from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or prominent notice on the Service at least 30 days before taking effect.
Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
